Welcome to Year 5, a year in which we immerse ourselves in fun and fantastic topics that take us back in time, get us thinking about the present and how we can use what we know to help us navigate towards the future. The curriculum will provide children with the opportunities to go on visits and take part in enrichment days (like Greek Day and Day of Wisdom), bringing all areas of their learning to life.
In Year 5, children are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and are expected to be proactive in completing tasks outside of school, this could be completing Home School Projects, weekly homework set on Google Classroom as well doing their own independent research on an area of the curriculum that sparks their curiosity.
